10 Unapologetic Rules for Magnetic Authority with ADHD

Newsflash: You don’t need to be more disciplined.

You don’t need to be quieter, calmer, or easier to manage.

You need to stop shrinking yourself to fit systems that were designed back in the Victorian times.

Women with ADHD are not lacking authority.

We’ve just been taught to outsource it (far and wide).

These are the rules I live by — and the ones I teach my clients — when we’re building a life that actually fits.

THE 10 RULES

1. Stop asking for permission

You don’t need approval to take up space.

2. Your energy matters more than your productivity

Burnout is not a badge of honour.

3. If it doesn’t work for your brain, it’s not the right system

Not a personal failure — a mismatch.

4. Emotional intensity is not weakness — it’s information

Learn to read it, not suppress it.

5. You don’t need to be consistent — you need to be aligned

Consistency comes after alignment.

6. People-pleasing is blocking your actual life

You can’t be magnetic and invisible at the same time.

7. Rest is not something you earn

It’s something your nervous system requires.

8. You’re allowed to change direction

Even if it confuses everyone else.

9. Your environment shapes your capacity

This includes work, home, and people.

10. You are not “too much”

You’ve just been in spaces that were too small.

Magnetic authority isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about returning to who you were before you started shrinking.
